StillwaterReservoir 2002

We went for a 3 day weekend July 25-27th. We stayed at site #7 The Notch. This was our second stay at this site. The water level was much lower than the last time and more rocks and beach were exposed.

The first day was beautiful with a wonderful sunset that night. The rest of our stay it rain most of the time. As we where leaving the skies cleared, the sun came out and it warmer up to about 80 degrees.

We took the route from Lowville on Number 4 road and then onto Stillwater Road. The last 8 miles are a dirt road.

At the bottom of the page are links to the Stillwater Shop and The Stillwater Inn. Also to 2 maps of the reservoir and a list of the designated camp sites. The shop has supplies, gifts, a soda fountain as well as boat rentals. They also now have a B&B. The Inn has a few rooms to rent as well as a great restaurant and bar. We always stop there for a meal before we head back home.
